Recent Band To Watch Freelance Whales set up in Grand Street Recording for a cozy-looking session. They recorded "Generator ^ Second Floor" in the studio's living-room-like main room, which only adds to the sweet, gently buzzing warmth inside the song already. Singer Judah Dadone says it was the first time the band recorded in a real studio, so the band changed up some of the arrangements to use the studio's impressive resources.
