Bon Iver – “Come Talk To Me” (Peter Gabriel Cover) Preview

Bon Iver Peter Gabriel Video

When we premiered Peter Gabriel's cover of Bon Iver's "Flume," we also learned a little bit about how Gabriel came across For Emma, and how he developed his piano-and-brass take. This video explains a bit more of the process behind the recording, and contains a brief taste of Bon Iver's reciprocal cover of Gabriel's "Come Talk To Me," from his 1992 album Us. Justin Vernon has a personal connection to the song he chose, and he explains why and how he hopes to "relive" that time in his life with his cover. Jagjaguwar will release both songs on a split 7" in celebration of Record Store Day, April 17. Limited quantities and all that, so you'll have to cop that quick.

More from Us -- here's Gabriel doing "Digging In The Dirt" in Paris on March 22.
