Reunited Libertines Perform At Pub Press Conference

The Libertines Press Conference Video

All four members of the Libertines -- Pete Doherty, Carl Barat, John Hassell, and Gary Powell -- converged on North London's Boogaloo yesterday to confirm they're reuniting for Reading/Leeds 2010, and maybe more. The band followed a thirty minute press conference with a short acoustic set that included songs "Death On The Stairs," "Time For Heroes," and "Can't Stand Me Now." The performance was maybe an act of good faith; since Pete Doherty had missed so many gigs before the band broke up in 2004, they now can't secure insurance for £1.2MM festival gigs. Watch some highlights from the conference (with some amazing Doherty bon mots), and the band doing a messy version of "Music When The Lights Go Out":
