We mentioned Jim James's appearance on the Preservation Hall's Benefit LP a couple months back. The house jazz band started a short tour with My Morning Jacket yesterday that will continue to May 2. As you can see in the gallery, the two bands did some songs together, which is no surprise. "I couldn't have imagined Jim fitting in any better with the guys at Preservation Hall. Jim's like our long lost cousin coming home for the first time," Preservation Hall Jazz Band's leader Ben Jaffe said about recording with James. So their kickoff show was kind of like a (second) family reunion.
