Hold Steady Bring “Hurricane J,” Catholicism To Colbert

The Hold Steady Colbert

The Hold Steady's Craig Finn and Tad Kubler sat down for an interview with Stephen Colbert, who asked them about the title of their latest album, Heaven Is Whenever, and about Catholicism and spirituality in their music. Interestingly, Finn says he was raised Catholic and goes to church, but doesn't view Catholicism in a way the Pope would approve of (Colbert is a Catholic and a Sunday School teacher). Later the band performed "Hurricane J," after being introduced by Colbert Report writer/Hold Steady fan Peter Grosz.
