When MoMA premieres your video, your video is probably not Wavves' "Post Acid." After debuting "I'm New Here" at IFC, Gil Scott-Heron introduced folks to "New York Is Killing Me" via a PopRally event the Museum Of Modern Art. The shadowy, train-tracked clip was directed by Chris Cunningham, maybe best known for Aphex Twin's "Windowlicker" and "Come To Daddy," Björk's "All Is Full of Love," Portishead's "Only You," and works by Madonna, Autechre, etc. Beyond directing this one, he remixed the audio to fit his vision. When it showed at MoMA, it was projected onto three screens.

I’m New Here is out now via XL Recordings. Read more about the premiere event at Filmmaker.
