Gotta love that pre-release buzz cycle. Seem like you've been prepping for Annie's debut LP for months now? That's 'cause you have. (Three months, actually.) Next week, Texan siren St. Vincent makes it all official, proposing to fans and foes alike with Marry Me, showcasing Ms. Clark's distinct compositional stylings for the masses to consume. Of course something of that is lost when you see Annie do it solo, though the stripped take on her Marry cuts makes for easy songwriting analysis. And, watching her fingerpick her way through the classically-tinged absinthe-y "Paris Is Burning" est tre magnifique. From a fan only show in DUMBO a few months back, we give you St. Vincent.
