"I wanna thank all of my fans and all of my haters for making me famous." Freedia gets that mission statement for "Almost Famous" out early, and spends the rest of this track -- the lead single from her first release of entirely original material and the Sissy Bounce scene's first widespread national release at large -- rapping her taunts about indefatigability and ascent with the energized and commanding yell that gets her audiences to do things onstage they wouldn't in private. Most of the EP was produced BlaqNmilD, and here the synths are tinny-thin and militant, finding space between the voice of many Freedias insisting you bounce, clap, shake, rock, and make her famous. It's one big imperative wrapped in sissy bounce cross-dress. Not a track for those who don't like being told what to do.
