NJ BTW Real Estate, makers of melodic Budweiser-and-beaches dream-pop, are signed up to Domino for their second full-length Days due September 27th. "It's Real" is its first single, one the band's road testing at live dates these days. I saw them recently at the unventilated DIY space 285 Kent, saying that a band that's written a song like "Out Of Tune" has earned allegiance through thick and steamy venues. That night the band played through their promising new material with new drummer Jackson Pollis, who I later learned is the same Jackson Pollis of MisShapes DJing and Gawker "It Boy"/targeted fame. Bygones -- his languid fills fit the band's Feelies feel and the newer material well. As for "Out Of Tune," it appears on the forthcoming 10-track LP, as does "It's Real" which is yours below:
Days is out 9/27 via Domino. "It's Real" will be available as a 7" b/w a redone "Blue Lebaron."
