Cass McCombs – Humor Risk

|Cass McCombs - Humor Risk

If you've come to fall in love with Cass McCombs over his last two records Catacombs and this year's Wit's End, you have put your heart in the hands of a man willing to work for your affections. (If you haven't read Cass's typewritten responses to Cole's Progress Report questions, please do. It's a classic, and will only intensify the ardor.) The singer-songwriter has one more 2011 LP up his sleeve produced, as those previous two were, by Ariel Rechstaid. It's calledHumor Risk and so fittingly billed by his label as "a happier, more hopeful sister record to Wit's End." (Topics tackled: "drugs, Scientology, Western America.") The label's offering Humor Risk on its own or as a bundle with Wit's End. You can pre-order over there, and get started with the lead MP3 "The Same Thing" (re: pain and love) here:

Humor Risk is out 11/8 via Domino.
