Today, my former employers over at Pitchfork announced the initial lineup for this summer's Pitchfork Music Festival, which comes to Chicago's Union Park 7/13-15. Every year, Pitchfork announces all the bands at the festival in a few different installments, so this isn't the complete lineup, but here's who the festival has lined up already: Vampire Weekend, Feist, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Hot Chip, AraabMuzik, ASAP Rocky, the Field, Liturgy, Kendrick Lamar, Grimes, Cloud Nothings, Tim Hecker, and Willis Earl Beal. Some of the bands, like Vampire Weekend and the Field, have played the festival before, but most of them are new to it. And as someone who's been to every one of these things, it looks like the beginnings of a strong, deep bill. But what do you guys think?
