At least in theory, SXSW is supposed to be about discovering emerging and ascendent bands, but the fest just keeps adding big names: Bruce Springsteen, Fiona Apple, Norah Jones, John Mayer, T.I., Nas, the Shins, and -- now -- Jay-Z, arguably the biggest name and best live performer in rap history. Last year, Jay was a surprise guest at Kanye West's pretty-great G.O.O.D. Music extravaganza. And this year, he'll have the stage to himself on Monday night -- before most of the music people show up -- for some sort of American Express-sponsored show. As MTV reports, Jay's set will be live-streamed on American Express's YouTube page. No venue has been announced yet. Good luck getting in!
