When she's not playing bass in Yuck, Mariko Doi leads her own fuzzed-out '90s-style alt-pop project Parakeet. We've already heard Parakeet tracks like "Tomorrow" and "Paper, Scissors, Stone," and the latest one is "Shonen Hearts," which turns effects-pedal roar into sugary pop. Listen to it below.
No word on a Parakeet album yet, but I wouldn't say no to one at this point.
