With her diffuse and sophisticated haze-pop project Empress Of, the Brooklyn singer and producer Lorely Rodriguez has had the internet going nuts, in a low-key way, for months. Last year, we posted her "Don't Tell Me" and her "Champagne" video, and now she's getting ready to release her debut EP Systems. The first song we've heard from it is a softly damaged and queasily pretty tune called "Hat Trick," and you can listen to it below.
