Since 2022, Mary In The Junkyard have been making what they describe as "angry weepy chaos rock." Today, the UK trio is finally announcing their debut album, Role Model Hermit, arriving this summer. The lead single "Crash Landing" is here now.
"It's about fear and how men often rely on keeping their emotions secret, and how you have to crack them open," bandleader Clari-Freeman Taylor says about the song. "To be the only one that’s seeing one side of someone, it's trapping."
Role Model Hermit follows their 2024 EP This Old House and it was produced by Oli Bayston. "Crash Landing" comes with a music video directed by Maisy Banks and Jacob Ray; watch below.
