On their sophomore album Jinx, the San Francisco psych-rock trio Weekend slightly tweak the all-out blare of their debut album Sports, transforming that sound into something more precise and streamlined. There's nothing particularly groundbreaking about the LP, but it executes old guitar-rock moves with panache and efficiency.
