For years, Brian DeGraw has helped build towers of cosmopolitan drone in Gang Gang Dance. Now, he's stepping out on his own, taking on the hard-to-spell moniker bEEdEEgEE. Later this year, he'll release SUM/ONE, his debut album as bEEdEEgEE, and it'll feature vocals from people like Gang Gang Dance's Lizzi Bougatsos and Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor. But the first track that DeGraw has shared is an instrumental. It's called "Bricks," and it sounds like a mid-'00s London grime beat that's been ripped apart and then hastily reassembled in some Polynesian beach paradise. Listen below.
