Josh Tillman – “Car Chase Theme”

Call "Car Chase Theme" third wave Josh Tillman. The former drummer of Fleet Foxes, who also writes, records, writes essays, and does killer R. Kelly karaoke as Father John Misty, has been enlisted by his wife Emma Elizabeth Tillman to score her directorial debut film The History Of Caves. The sampling that we have with "Car Chase Theme" is not evocative of the title -- there's no immediacy to the music, at least not the kind you'd expect watching a high-speed chase scene, but it is packed with his off-kilter, unsettling folk ephemera. The History Of Caves soundtrack will be out on limited edition vinyl at participating records stores on 11/29. The film is out later this year via Netflix, iTunes, and Amazon.
