Earlier this summer, the relatively unknown singer Ryn Weaver came out of nowhere with "OctaHate," a spiraling-skyward single co-produced by Passion Pit's Michael Angelakos, Charli XCX, Benny Blanco, and Cashmere Cat. We were impressed. Weaver is working on a new EP called Promises, and that EP's second single is also its title track. "OctaHate" was a tough act to follow, but "Promises" is cut from the same cloth; it's a dizzy and emotive computer-pop song with a vast, barnstorming chorus. Listen to it below.
