Ashley Monroe is a Nashville veteran, and she released what amounts to her sophomore album this year, an excellent, eclectic countrypolitan stunner called The Blade. We premiered one of the album's swampiest, gothic tracks called "I Buried Your Love Alive," and that was the song Monroe selected to perform for her appearance on Conan last night. Conan also recently had Jason Isbell on the show to perform "24 Frames," so maybe the guy is developing an affinity for country?
