Watch La Blogotheque’s Mini-Documentary About Air’s Nicolas Godin

Nicolas Godin – Blogotheque

Nicolas Godin, one half of the french electro-lounge duo Air, released a solo album in September titled Contrepoint, inspired by the masterwork of Johann Sebastian Bach. He's now the subject of a short documentary by La Blogothèque, who have previously given us films about Arcade Fire, Mogwai, and R.E.M. in addition to their many Take Away Shows. In this two-part film, Godin discusses the thought process, imagery, and mechanics behind Contrepoint and expands on his affinity with Bach and classical music. A bulk of the footage is shot in rustic environments and is seamlessly edited with live performances and music videos, so the entire feature is packed with ear and eye-candy. Watch both parts below.
