Back in spring, when he was still waiting to win his Tony for Hamilton, clipping. rapper Daveed Diggs showed off his fast-rap skills on The Tonight Show. That was when there wasn't a historically important election looming imminent. So last night, when Diggs returned to the show, he picked up a mic again, and this time he did it with a bit more purpose. During his interview with Jimmy Fallon, Diggs announced that he and Black Thought of the Roots have a collaborative mixtape coming soon, which is exciting. And the two of them gave a quick burst of dazzling rapping, talking about the history and the importance of the right to vote. Watch that performance, as well as Diggs' interview with Fallon, below.
