French Montana Performs For Dozens At Billy McFarland’s Fyre Fest Follow-Up

Billy McFarland finally did it! He managed to stage an event that could at least charitably be described as a music festival, and the event actually happened! McFarland is best-known as the man behind the Fyre Fest, the notorious 2017 boondoggle that famously did not happen. After selling the Fyre Fest to LimeWire, McFarland announced plans for another Caribbean island festival, which he called PHNX 2025. Just last month, French Montana was announced as the show's headliner. On Saturday night, a vaguely interested French Montana performed for a few dozen vaguely interested concertgoers. There were fireworks.

In addition to French Montana, the lineup at PHNX 2025 included Bobby Shmurda and Slim Jxmmi, the less famous half of Rae Sremmurd. People were there! Food and drinks were served! On video, you can see an entire row of fully intact Porta Potties! It appears that there was at least one mid-performance power outage, but nobody's perfect. You can see some evidence of McFarland's great triumph below.

They tried hard to make it seem big time lighting off fireworks bought at your average fireworks stand. Still basically just a karaoke show #PHNX #billymcfarland #fyrefestival #utila

Take this as a lesson. Never let the haters get you down. Just do it and be legends.
