Billy Corgan has been busy discovering Geese and putting on a Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness opera. What else is the Smashing Pumpkins icon up to? He's jamming at Bar Mitzvahs at his café in Chicago.
Madame ZuZu's in Highland Park opened to corporate events and private parties last year, and its first Bar Mitzvah celebration happened over the weekend. Local '90s cover band the Buzz Worthys performed, and Bar Mitzvah boy Matthew used their drum kit to back Corgan on the Pumpkins’ "Today." "This is my first Bar Mitzvah," Corgan said on the small stage. "Maybe my last." Probably not.
Bat Mitzvahs are presumably allowed too. Mazel tov.
