Rock 'n' roll heroes the Rolling Stones wrapped up their most recent world tour in Ridgedale, Missouri last July. The band has recently been in the studio with Andrew Watt, producer of their 2023 album Hackney Diamonds, and they were reportedly planning to head out on a stadium tour across Europe and the UK next year. Those plans were never officially announced, and now they've apparently been canceled.
According to Variety, a "source close to the band" claims that they've called off plans for a 2026 tour because Keith Richards can't "commit" to it. Richards has been talking about how he's dealing arthritis lately. He still sounds great when he plays one-off gigs, as he did at recent benefit show at New York's Soho House, but he supposedly didn't love the idea of hitting the road for months. All of this is unconfirmed, but Richards turns 82 on Thursday, so it makes sense.
