The Richmond noise-rock duo White Beast have given us exactly one song per year since their 2023 debut album: 2024's "Jakarta Is Coming" and 2025's "Servant." Today we get their first (and fortunately not last) song of 2026, a heaving rager called "Cooked."
"Cooked" is the lead single from a new White Beast album called Die Hard. According to the band, it's out on May Day. This track is successfully piquing my interest for it, pairing pained screams and whimpers with a relentless low-end churn that rises and falls like stormy waters. It's sort of like Chat Pile if they were a little more metal; listen below and see what I mean.
