Over the past couple of years, we've witnessed the ascent of Fcukers, a New York City duo who make indulgent, party-primed electronic dance music. In 2024 they shared their debut EP Baggy$$ and caught the attention of Kenny Beats, who appears to be going by his government name Kenneth Blume now. Over the course of a spontaneous two weeks last year, Blume recorded what would become Fcukers debut album: Ö arrives in March, and its latest single "L.U.C.K.Y" is out now.
Ö was engineered by Tom Norris (Lady Gaga, Charli XCX, the Weeknd) and three of its songs feature additional production from 100 gecs' Dylan Brady. "L.U.C.K.Y" harks back to 2000s bloghouse, as Shanny Wise sings over heavy wubs and staccato piano chords: "Y-O-U are mine, 'cause I'm lucky." It's sweet, it's fun, and if you close your eyes you can almost image the Cobrasnake is taking your photo.
