WU LYF – “Tib St. Tabernacle”

Last year was an eventful one for WU LYF. Along with reuniting for their first shows in over a decade, the Manchester indie rock favorites released their first new song in 13 years, then took it down from Spotify a few months later in protest of CEO Daniel Ek's investment in AI military technology. Today — along with a revamped website — WU LYF have shared another new single called "Tib St. Tabernacle."

"Tib St. Tabernacle" isn't available on Spotify, either, but it is on Bandcamp. It's 11 minutes of slowly-unfurling psych-rock, with a lot to unpack in its lyrics: "So feel your grief and your agony/ All your pain and your suffering/ Transfigured in ecstacy/ I only want us to be free." It's billed as a "bold new chapter" for WU LYF, who are also going on US tour this spring. Listen to the song and see those dates below; RSVP for ticket access here.
