Wings Of Desire – “Whisper”

Amber Little

It's been almost a year since we last heard from Wings Of Desire, when the synth-powered, fashion-forward London duo dropped their single "A Few More Years." We'll be hearing a lot more from them in 2026. A few days back, Chloe Little and James Taylor announced plans to a release a new song for every new moon on this year's lunar calendar. Here's what they wrote about that arrangement:

to stand still in an ever changing cultural landscape and an increasingly chaotic world is a theme running through our latest collection of hymns.

we will be releasing a track on each new moon for the duration of the 2026 lunar calendar. to get back in tune with the rhythm of the earth and natural cycles of time.

everyday is a ritual, and every moment presents us with lore and wonder. for eyes that see. and ears that hear.

stand still like the hummingbird.

Dawg, that's deep. The first of these new moon earworms, "Whisper," is out today. It's a celestial power ballad that reminds me of peak M83, and I'm not mad about it.

In a press release, Wings Of Desire write, "whisper represents the birth of new life and the everlasting imprints we leave behind. through the hum and circadian rhythm of the body, I heard you whisper." Listen below.
