Fred again.. is on a roll. He's carrying on his USB series today with a new song "scared" featuring Young Thug. This current chapter of the USB series, the ever-evolving album USB002, began last fall when Fred again.. released 10 songs in 10 weeks and played shows in 10 different cities across the world.
Following last year's singles "Ambery" and "OGdub," "scared" slows the pace a bit. It recalls earlier Fred again.. releases like "Marea (We've Lost Dancing)" featuring the Blessed Madonna, where the beat slowly builds and then falls away, allowing for an emotional introduction to the song's chorus. Here, Thugga's voice ends up the focal point when he sings: "Don't you ever show you scared, baby." It's really nice.
If you're a big Thugga fan, "scared" might sound familiar. Turns out parts of it are from an old, unreleased Young Thug song that fans have dubbed "Lucky." The track also credits Lil Yachty, Boo, and Nate Brazier.

Fred has a pair of USB shows at New York’s East End Studios this weekend, with support from X3butterfly, Doctor Jeep, and Sister Zo tonight and Caribou and BRUX joining him Saturday.
