Yungblud Apologizes For Photo With Rammstein Frontman

Earlier this month, Yungblud went viral for speaking up for Iranian women's rights. The English rock musician is known for advocacy, and fans were recently disappointed to see a photo of him posing with Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann, who has sexual misconduct allegations. Today, he acknowledged the backlash, saying he "had no idea" about the accusations.

In an audio statement on his Instagram, Yungblud said, "I had no idea — obviously at the minute I’m meeting lots of people every day without fully knowing who they are or what they’re about. And I can assure you, if I knew about any allegations, it would have been a completely different story. You all know what I stand for, always. I’ll be more aware of it in the future."

Lindemann had been accused of spiking a fan's drink at a concert pre-party in Vilnius, Lithuania. She had allegedly been recruited by a woman on social media to stand front row for a Rammstein show and then invited to the afterparty, where she claims she refused to have sex with Lindemann, and Lindemann had an angry outburst in response. More women came out with stories of similar experiences. Berlin prosecutors opened an investigation, but it was eventually dropped due to lack of evidence.

Yungblud has also been collaborating with Aerosmith and hanging out with frontman Steven Tyler, who also has allegations. He's been sued by several women for sexual assault that occurred in the '70s. He denied the allegations. One lawsuit was dismissed, and the other — which involves a minor — had the trial postponed to this year. Yungblud and Aerosmith released a collaborative EP called One More Time in November.
