King Princess Covers Geese Song For Radio 1, Says It’s “A Lesbian Anthem”

Over the weekend, Geese made their SNL debut, performing "Au Pays Du Cocaine" and "Trinidad" from their breakthrough album Getting Killed. Samia covered "Au Pays Du Cocaine" back in October, and now King Princess played a rendition of the beloved track on BBC Radio 1.

"That Geese song is such a lesbian anthem," King Princess said about her song pick. "'You can change and still choose me'? I don't know. Ask some of your lesbian friends what that means. It's just such a beautiful song. It really represents what it's like to be in love right now, like a song about two people wanting freedom and wanting to be individuals and yet are actively choosing to stay together and that feels super present but also extremely queer."

The Brooklyn indie musician also praised the track in the fall, writing on TikTok, "anybody else singing this all day? Or is it just me?" Watch her take on it below.
