Comedian, podcaster, and musician Dean Delray celebrated his 60th birthday Tuesday by throwing a massive Bon Scott tribute concert at the Avalon in Hollywood. Delray has previously fronted a Bon Scott tribute band featuring the Black Crowes' Steve Gorman, Jetboy's Billy Rowe, Alice In Chains' Mike Inez, and Protein's Josh Zee, all of whom were on hand for this event. (Anthrax's Scott Ian, who has participated in the past, wasn't on the lineup here.)
The late AC/DC frontman was honored with a rock and comedy show featuring Delrey's usual crew plus some hard-rock heavy hitters: KISS' Gene Simmons, Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme, the Kills' Alison Mosshart, Rage Against The Machine's Brad Wilk, Tool's Justin Chancellor, and Primus' Ler Lalonde. Comic Bill Burr was on the bill too, and his brother Billy Corgan showed up even though he wasn't scheduled to perform.
At the big gig, Homme sang Highway To Hell closer "Night Prowler." Check out footage of the cover below.
