Dirty snow is the fucking worst. Get that shit out of here. Snow falls, and it's beautiful and pristine and magical for three, maybe four hours. Then it all gets shoved into piles and exhaust-blackened, and it gets ugly fast. It's been about a month since a giant fucking ice storm pulverized the East Coast, and some of the snow is still on the ground outside as I write this. The stuff remaining is the nastiest shit you ever saw. I'm pretty sure the dirty snow in John Andrews & The Yawns' new song "Goodbye Dirty Snow" is metaphorical, but I still agree with the sentiment.
John Andrews is in Cut Worms and Widowspeak, and he makes cozy, sleepy indie music with his project John Andrews & The Yawns. Their new album Streetsweeper is on the way, and we already posted first single "Something To Be Said." New song "Goodbye Dirty Snow" is soft and soothing, and it's got a half-animated video that Andrews directed. Check it out below.
Streetsweeper is out 4/3 on Earth Libraries.
