Modern Woman – “Neptune Girl”

Sandra Ebert

Modern Woman release Johnny's Dreamworld in May, and last month they previewed it with the pensive, sprawling lead single "Dashboard Mary." Today, the London indie rock quartet switch gears with the new track "Neptune Girl."

"This was built off an image of growing up in England, playing in the roads and fields with a friend who later went up to heaven. Heaven is, I imagine, somewhere near Neptune," bandleader Sophie Harris says. The track is a fun dose of whimsical rock 'n' roll with Harris' snarling over playful riffs. Watch the Joseph Brett-directed video below.

Johnny's Dreamworld is out 5/1 on One Little Independent Records.
