North Carolina singer-songwriter Anjimile Chithambo is a few days away from releasing his new album You're Free To Go, and we've already posted the lovely singles "Like You Really Mean It" and "Waits For Me." Today, he shares the hushed, still "Rust & Wire," which gives me Sufjan Stevens flashbacks. In a press release, Anjimile says, "This is a song about love and lust, blooming in the summertime. It’s about kissing in the warm rain and sleeping with the windows open at night while the breeze floats by. What it feels like when things are easy." Check it out below.
You're Free To Go is out 3/13 on 4AD.
