Lauren Auder – “no outline”

In January, Lauren Auder announced her new, evocatively titled album Whole World As Vigil. The London-based singer-songwriter and producer shared the super catchy "praxis," which followed October's "yes." Now she's back with the sprawling, revelatory "no outline."

"'no outline' is the most literal track on the record in some regards, when going through a major breakup the world itself fills ready to be swallowed into the gap left in your life," Auder explains. "The song is built around one refrain, that acknowledges that feeling but refuses to let it shape the world forever."

Beautiful! A sweeping, riveting crescendo emphasizes the feeling of hope that comes with the painful change. It should be in the turning point scene of a coming-of-age movie. Any music supervisors in the chat? Anyway, listen below.

Whole World As Vigil is out 3/27 via untitled (recs). Pre-order it here.
