Courtney Love Comes Around On Geese Despite Their “Gatekeeping Elder Millennial Troll Fans”

A few weeks ago — after fellow rock icons like Patti Smith, Billy Corgan, and Nick Cave proclaimed their fanship of Geese — Courtney Love bravely went on the record to say she wasn't quite yet sold on the Brooklyn band, who made our favorite album of last year. "I'm Geese-curious," Love said in an Instagram reel. "Do you feel like their team might be, like, elder millennial Brooklyn people? Like, very Girls-y? But who cares. You can't fake the way he's singing. I'm trying to get it, and I do, kinda."

Great news, guys. Courtney Love has officially joined the Geese bandwagon. "I'm back with a Geese update," she said in a new Instagram reel today. "My Geese-curious has turned into Geese-blossoming appreciation. I'm fully liking it... They're kind of Daniel Johnston meets Rolling Stones-adjacent. Their singer Cameron sounds like a 600-year-old man. I mean that in the best way. And he's a fucking seriously good lyricist."

Love said that she is, indeed, going to go see Geese live. But she still has some qualms with the band's fans, or rather their "gatekeeping elder millennial troll fans." She added: "The Geese trolls are like another kettle of fish. I feel like it's 1990 and I'm trying to impress Sonic Youth again, which is great. I don't know. I'm like a cool old lady who likes a band. Get off my back... It's like 13-year-old Swifties coming for me. I mean, it's hilarious." Love also promised more Geese updates to come.

In more Geese news, on Saturday night at their Glasgow show they wove in a little mini-cover of Primal Scream's "Movin' On Up" into their song "2122." Primal Scream approves:
