The anonymous, playfully pranksterish UK dance duo Two Shell released their surprise album IICONS last year. Earlier this year, they followed that release with a two-song single, "The Nightmare" b/w "Hollow," and they played a residency at the London club Phonox that included a performance with Jack Harlow. Now, they've got another two-song single.
The new Two Shell tracks "Smile" and "Hands Up" are fun, bouncy club thumpers that evoke memories about older genres of populist UK dance music. "Smile" is an ultra-funky bounce with a bassline that'll stick in my head all day, and "Hands Up" is the kind of full-on festival EDM that was inescapable a decade ago. Check out both tracks below.
