Wisconsin's Graham Hunt brings a boisterous, genre-jumbling energy to indie rock, and he does so at a prolific pace. Hunt is releasing his new album American Pyramid at summer's end, barely a year after the Album Of The Week-anointed Timeless World Forever. He's back today with a fresh single from the new LP.
Whereas "Waiting For You To Come Home" was an anxious explosion of melody, Hunt's new "Riverboat Blues" moves with the loose, loopy gait of a post-Beck late-'90s MTV hit, the kind you might slot it into your pool party playlist between Sugar Ray's "Fly" and Fatboy Slim's "Praise You." Fittingly, it has a music video, directed by Ben Turok, which you can watch below.
