Sparta are back. The post-hardcore crew's last LP was 2022's self-titled, and today they're announcing its followup titled Cut A Silhouette. The lead single "Crater" is a ripper, and it was co-written with My Chemical Romance's Frank Iero.
"This is a love record," frontman Jim Ward says. "I want it to leave an impression, and at this point in my career, that's what I yearn for. I'm working so hard to make something meaningful to me, and I really want people to get a chance to feel it as well."
Cut A Silhouette was produced, engineered, and recorded in seven days at Magpie Cage Recording Studio by Jawbox's J. Robbins. The track "Mouthbreather" was also co-written with Iero, and other collaborators on the album include Chevelle's Kemble Walters, Brooks Harlan of Jawbox and War On Women, Carlos Arévalo of Chicano Batman, and Adrian Bourgeois.
