You might think that Donald Trump, currently engaged in his absurd war of choice on Iran and the resulting economic spiral that's only just beginning, would be too busy to worry about what Bruce Springsteen is saying about him. Nope! Not at all! Springsteen and his E Street Band just kicked off their Land Of Hope And Dreams Tour in Minneapolis, the site of so much of the misery that Trump has wantonly caused, with a livestreamed set that was heavy on political statements. Now, Trump is telling his supporters to boycott that tour.
In a statement that he posted on his Truth Social network this morning, Trump once again took aim at Springsteen, calling him a "bad, and very boring singer" and claiming that he "looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon." He even hit the caps-lock key to proclaim that "MAGA SHOULD BOYCOTT HIS OVERPRICED CONCERTS, WHICH SUCK." Here's the full statement, inexplicable punctuation decisions and all:
Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS. The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a President who won a Landslide Election, including the popular vote, all Seven Swing States, and 86% of the Counties across America. Under Sleepy Joe and the Dems, our Country was DEAD, and now we have the “hottest” Country, by far, anywhere in the World. MAGA SHOULD BOYCOTT HIS OVERPRICED CONCERTS, WHICH SUCK. Trump previously used the "dried out 'prune' of a rocker" line while attacking Springsteen on Truth Social last year. He also demanded investigations into celebrities' political endorsements, singling out Springsteen in particular.
