Olivia Rodrigo will release her highly anticipated third studio album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love this June, but first, she's hosting Saturday Night Live. The pop star will join the ever-growing club of artists to host and perform on the same episode, pulling double duty on May 2.
This will be Rodrigo's third time on SNL overall. She made her debut in May 2021, not long after her breakout hit "drivers license" was the subject of a sketch in a prior episode. She was the musical guest again in December 2023, and had a few lines in a sketch. you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love won't be out by the time Rodrigo's hosting gig comes around, but it's safe to assume she'll perform its lead single "drop dead," which drops next week.
The May 9th episode of SNL will feature third-time host Matt Damon with second-time musical guest Noah Kahan. On May 16th, it'll be sixth-timer Will Ferrell with fifth-timer Paul McCartney.
