Justin Bieber Brings Out Billie Eilish, SZA, & More At Coachella

Justin Bieber's Coachella Weekend 1 set has been spawning a lot of conversations online. Some people argue that him bringing out a laptop to sing karaoke over his old music videos was lazy; others argue that he's endured enough in his career and should be able to do whatever the hell he wants. Either way, he switched things up for his Weekend 2 headlining performance last night, bringing out a slew of special guests: Billie Eilish, SZA, Sexyy Red, Big Sean, and Dijon.

Before we had Sabrina Carpenter's "Juno" arrests and Charli XCX's "Apple" dance, Justin Bieber's concerts included a tradition where he brought up a girl fan onstage as he sang his 2009 hit "One Less Lonely Girl." When he sang that song at Coachella yesterday (his first time performing it since 2020), Bieber's wife Hailey Bieber happily pushed an unsuspecting Eilish — a noted Belieber — onstage to finally be his one less lonely girl. She responded appropriately by bursting into tears.

Earlier in the set, Bieber brought out Sexyy Red for the live debut of their Swag collab "Sweet Spot." After Eilish's appearance, Bieber continued the throwbacks by bringing out Big Sean to do 2012's "As Long As You Love Me" and 2015's "No Pressure," both of which hadn't been performed since 2017. Sean also took a moment to say some nice things to Bieber before walking offstage: "I've seen a lot of the things you've gone through," he said. "I've seen you at times when it wasn't always beautiful, but you fought through it, and in a world where everyone's trying to take over the world, you give over the world, bro. People are taking advantage of you. They have taken and taken and never once have you turned into them. You always have been giving and figured out a way to persevere."

For better or for worse, Bieber's laptop did return for Coachella Weekend 2. He pulled up his old YouTube acoustic cover of Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me A River" and sang along to it. Then, Bieber brought out Dijon to do one of their Swag songs "Devotion," before bringing out SZA to sing her SOS highlight "Snooze." See clips of the set below.
