Wednesday have been covering Big Star's "September Gurls" here and there on tour, and Wednesday night they did so with old pal Patterson Hood. The band has previously collaborated with Hood, frontman for their beloved Drive-By Truckers, and since they were at Revolution Hall in his home base of Portland, they welcomed him onstage to join them for the Alex Chilton-penned classic. (Remember when they did Chris Bell's "I Am The Cosmos" on their stellar covers album?)
