Rosalía Pole Dances in Bedazzled Neck Brace On Euphoria, Reflects On Acting Debut

Right now, Rosalía is in the midst of a massive global arena tour behind her stunning 2025 album LUX. She also recently released a LUX deluxe edition, featuring a few bonus tracks that were previously only available on physical versions. In the midst of all that, Rosalía is currently starring in the long-awaited new season of HBO's tawdry blockbuster Euphoria. She plays Magick, a stripper who wears a bedazzled neck brace, and she got her first big showcase scene on Sunday night's episode.

Last year, Rosalía joined the cast of the long-delayed third Euphoria season. The role is Rosalía's acting debut, and she's in there alongside major Hollywood stars like Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney. Her Magick character was introduced in a quick Spanglish scene in last week's episode. Rue, Zendaya's character, is helping to manage the Silver Slipper, a comically seedy strip club, and Magick is one of the club's dancers.

On last night's episode (which I haven't seen yet), Rosalía, still wearing that neck brace, did a pole dance to "Boom Boom Boom," a 2013 song from the band Fatboy. The way she's shot seems to consciously evoke Salma Hayek in From Dusk Till Dawn.

The preview for next week's episode shows Magick and Rue getting into some kind of perilous situation.

In a behind-the-scenes video, Rosalía says that she got pole-dancing tips from her castmates.

Yesterday on Instagram, Rosalía posted a photo of herself crying upon learning that she'd been cast in Euphoria. Here's the English translation of what she wrote:

This was my face when I was confirmed that I was cast in Euphoria. It was the first casting of my life and EVERYTHING was in English. Imagine having a dream for years and it comes true when you least expect it. Then I would have to learn a choreo in less than 48 hours (which will be released in tonight's episode) and I remember that I bit my lip a lot of nerves and that I loved my arm so much that it seemed like I had an entire galaxy in my biceps. Thank you Sam and everyone else for believing in me ? Eternally a fan of Euphoria and graaaaaaaad for this experience

On her Instagram story, Rosalía posted this image. The translation: "Major props to everyone who practices pole dance regularly — the process couldn't have been more humbling."
