We're only a couple weeks away from villagerrr's new album Carousel. We've heard "Locket," "Swimming," and the title track, and now the Columbus band is back with "Virginia" featuring Richmond's Hotspit.
According to bandleader Mark Allen Scott, "Virginia" is "a song about trying to keep your head down and keep going even when things feel like they're all falling apart on a grand scale." Like the other singles, it's a sweeping alt-country number with lyrics that hit: "How to explain what you can't explain/ Tell me how/ How to revise or reiterate memories." It comes with a music video directed by Trevor Hock; watch below.
