Radiator Hospital Announces New Album Distorting Time: Hear “Wall Between Us”

Back in the day, Radiator Hospital would release new music several times a year. Things have slowed down since then, but Grand Rapids-founded, Philly-based indie rockers are still kicking. Distorting Time, the sixth Radiator Hospital and first for Lame-O Records, will be out in August. A Radiator Hospital album not on Salinas? It's a brand new era for real.

Distorting Time, the follow-up to 2023's Can't Make Any Promises, is preceded today by lead single "Wall Between Us." It's a proper lo-fi track, powered by scrappy guitar chords and Sam Cook-Parrott's weathered warble, sort of like Saintseneca as filtered through early Sebadoh. In a press release, he offers these thoughts on the new LP:

I was strongly considering going in a completely different direction and starting a different-sounding project. Instead a switch flipped and I could see how all my new ideas could fit on the continuum of Radiator Hospital. It’s still the project I’ve been doing for almost half my life. I can see the connection between this and my earliest work, while also knowing I never could have made this record in any other time of my life than now.

Ali Donohue made a video for "Wall Between Us," and you can watch it below.
