As Hayley Williams trickles out songs from her new project Power Snatch and continues to log guest spots with other artists like Beabadoobee, the Paramore leader's first solo tour has been making its way across Europe. This leg of the tour wrapped up Tuesday with the second of two shows at National Stadium in Dublin, where Williams kept up her tradition of paying tribute to Irish music icons.
When Paramore played Dublin in 2023, Williams played a solo cover of the Cranberries' "Dreams." Tuesday, just before the end of the main set, she covered the early Sinéad O'Connor classic "Mandinka." After chants of "Free Palestine!" in the crowd, Williams announced, "This goes out to all the Irish artists who use their voice. You're so inspiring."
Someone captured excellent footage of the "Mandinka" performance from the crowd, and you can watch it below.
Williams also had an interesting Substack post the other day about her own spiritual journey and a favored Tarot card reader who gave it up after converting to Christianity.
