PinkPantheress is about to make her feature acting debut in high-profile fashion. The influential UK hitmaker, born Victoria Beverley Walker, has been cast in the new secret film project from Daniels, Deadline reports.
Daniels, the directorial duo of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, are coming off the smash success of the metaphysical family epic Everything Everywhere All At Once, a surprise Best Picture winner at the Oscars in 2023. Their new movie's plot has been kept under wraps so far, but its cast includes Matt Damon, Sandra Oh, Charles Melton, Sean Kaufman, Silvia Dionicio, Jackson Kelly, Kerrice Brooks, Thalia Dudek and Michael Gandolfini.
The PinkPantheress casting continues Daniels' long connection with the music world. Before they were feature film directors, they came up making music videos, emerging as some of the most exciting talents in the field. Their Everything Everywhere All At Once soundtrack was composed by the electronic indie rock band Son Lux, who collaborated with David Byrne and Mitski on the film's Oscar-nominated original song "This Is A Life."
